i-Fest International Film Festival

i-Fest International Film Festival arrives in Palermo from 26 to 29 December 2023 at the Cinema Vittorio De Seta, Cantieri Culturali alla Zisa – ex Officine Ducrot.

The Festival takes place under the patronage of: Municipality of Palermo, Sicilian Region – Department of Tourism, Sport and Entertainment and Sicily Film Commission.

Numerous activities are planned, all in 2019, starting from two competitions that present the best of national and international production of short films and animation: Contest Orizzonti Short 23 and Contest Animazione 23. All the works in competition will be evaluated by the Technical Jury on 26 and 27 December, and the winning works will be screened during the evening of Thursday 28th at 9pm.

Also on the program is the retrospective celebrating 60 years of 𝐼𝑙 𝐺𝑎𝑡𝑡𝑜𝑝𝑎𝑟𝑑𝑜 with the preview of the Photographic Exhibition dedicated to the extraordinary Claudia Cardinale and the screening of Visconti’s masterpiece (Thursday 28 December at 5.30pm).

On 29 December the Festival welcomes the great Macedonian director Milcho Manchevski , with the screening (5.30 pm) of the masterpiece 𝐵𝑒𝑓𝑜𝑟𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑟𝑎𝑖𝑛, Golden Lion for best film at the 51st Venice International Film Festival and candidate for the Oscar for best foreign film. Manchevski, starting from 8.00 pm, will meet the public for a masterclass and to preview 𝐾𝑎𝑦𝑚𝑎𝑘 (9.00 pm), a work that has been applauded and won multiple awards in numerous international festivals
